After rising from the ashes of tragedy and despair, Tyson Smiley launches a lucrative fine art career, and finds the love of his life. But when he meets an enigmatic poet named Alan Downy, who claims to have written a poem by the same title as the dark masterpiece that kick-started Tyson’s career, his fixation on the coincidence becomes an obsession. His fiancé and best friend are suddenly murdered, and Downy vanishes without a trace, leaving Tyson in pursuit of a hidden truth tangled in a web of mystery woven through Downy’s horrific past. As he gets closer to unmasking the invisible guardian that seems to be protecting Downy’s secrets, he begins to wonder if he’s next on the kill list.

With a new face, a new career and a new identity, he’s got to somehow help catch the real Chopper to prove his innocence and clear his name.
